BREAKING NEWS: Bridge Collapses in Washington State leaving Cars Trapped

A bridge over the Skagit River in Washington State collapsed on Thursday evening leaving cars and passengers in the water. 

At least two cars with passengers inside were in the Skagit River, and there is no confirmation about the number of passengers involved but police have now confirmed that all passengers have been accounted for, and that there were no fatalities in the crash.

Over 90 people killed in Oklahoma Tornado

A devastating two-mile-wide tornado touched down in Moore, a community of 41,000 people about 10 miles south of Oklahoma City yesterday afternoon Monday May 20th, killing over 90 people - including at least 20 children, with 24 more missing. Plaza Towers Elementary school was in the direct path of the giant twister and took a direct hit during 45 minutes of terror yesterday afternoon.

Homes, cars, a hospital and another elementary school were destroyed by the tornado. More than 120 people are being treated at hospitals, including about 50 children. The death toll is expected to rise. 

President Barack Obama has declared a major disaster area in Oklahoma, ordering federal aid to supplement state and local efforts in Moore. See more photos after the cut...

 The body of late literary icon, Prof. Chinua Achebe arrived Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport Abuja, earlier today May 21, where it was received by government officials. The body was then moved to Enugu, the home town of the late author, aboard a private aircraft, where it was received by Achebe's elder brother, Chief Augustine Achebe, other family members and state government officials.
